Following my previous post " Kontakt 5 missing notes" - I finally got a reply from NI support after a month...
It appears that if you want Kontakt to play two sequential notes of the same pitch in legaoto style from your sequencer then - tough luck!
Kontakt may choose to play or not play the second note correctly on a random basis. Apparently this is a " known issue" and will be corrected in the next release.....
Absolutely unbelievable. A so called premier Sampler can't play 2 notes in a row correctly and most users are unaware of it.....
This is not a Synfire issue but just thought I would let you know because it causes all kind of strange symptoms, irrespective of what source you use to generate the Midi sequence.

Hey, thanks for the update.
Quirks like that are discovered all the time, with almost every software ;-)

True Andre.... but I can't believe that there's no mention of this anywhere and NI has such little emphasis on rectifying a major problem.
This has taken hours of my time and I suspect many musicians are now reaching saturation point fighting technology that is supposed to aid them.....
Perhaps it is time to dig out the old Fostex 4 track and start making real music.....
