I cant get any type of playback at all. I have no Idea what im doing wrong im getting completely frustrated I have watched the first two tutorials over and over and am still having trouble getting just basic playback. are those sounds just not on my computer. is it because I only have LE ?.

Thanks for the images. It looks like your rack is messed up.
To reset the global rack to factory defaults, go to Audio & MIDI Setup and do File >> New. Then save your rack with File >> Save.
If you want to drive external MIDI hardware, you'll need to pick a Device Description (or create one) that includes the channels, sound names, etc. It's a bit fiddly, as HN can't render music without knowing a thing or two about the instrument. So, if you can do with the built-in Soundcase sounds, you're having less to set up.

Thank you for your response. I did this, still no playback. Im starting to think that im loosing my damn mind. what else can I possibly be missing. seems like a pretty simple task yet..... here I am
