Working with transient drones

Is it not possible to add a starttup screen in Synfire, were i can choose :  default , 32 bit transient drone and 64 bit transient drone ?

Sorry, I dont understand the question.

A transient drone is one that is already loaded in a DAW. Synfire has no control over loading drones into your DAW.

There are some preperations to do in Synfire , before you can install a drone in the DAW
Bypass a 32 or 64 bit audio engine in Synfire, because the audio driver of the DAW is used.
Suppose i choose at startup in Synfire for a transient drone in DAW, then in the audio& midi setup screen it
should be handy if Synfire has prepared already some options:  a empty rack waiting with a bypassed audio engine
Perhaps a message there in the audio&midi setup screen : load a cognitone drone in DAW  for this rack to use as a transient drone rack.
It is all about userfriendlyness and when it's getting too complicated it is a useless feature.

Yes, the limited availability of multi-client audio and MIDI drivers on Windows is an annoyance.

Did you know you can run the DAW on a different machine in the local network? If you have two computers, it's worth a try. Be sure to install the Audio Engine on both computers. On the DAW computer, run the Engine once and set the IP of the Synfire computer on the Engine's user interface. The Drones and the Transport will then use that IP to connect to Synfire.
