Hi all. I've made a new music video using Synfire. I've used lots of features of Synfire that I hadn't used previously, including the step feature for complex rhythmic melodies, and polyrhythms.

Loved it. Hope you don't mind me asking, but what did you use for the drums and vocals?

Very delicate. Made with artistic fantasy.

Thanks both. NI India, EW Stormdrum one and Auddict PercX for drums. The free Auddict Ceres for vocals, plus 8dio Studio Sopranos.

Absolutely has something to it. Thanks for sharing!
By any chance, do you know Trilok Gurtu? He once did Indian/Western crossover Jazz, involving his mother for haunting vocals. Most of it is clearly 1980's synth-based Jazz, but some of his pieces are timeless ("Shangri La Usfret" & "Om", Album: Usfret).
Oh, and it would be interesting to learn more about your use of the Step parameter.

Hi Andre. I know of Trilok, and I know someone who knows him, but I've not had a chance to meet him or attend his concerts.
in terms if the step parameter, I found that I could just record a short 10 or 11 note phrase, then in the step parameter mix up triplets and regular beats at different speeds, and voila.
