Hey,
been working on my latest track to be released on a compilation album shortly and thought Id share.
It's a vocal trance track and I used synfire by following the methods shown by Andre's video where he harmonised a vocal to produce a track. I've deliberately tried to keep it simple and not go mad on the melody...
Effects and automation were added in Ableton Live not Synfire (although I know it can be done).

Hey Bogsie,
I presume the first one should have been https://soundcloud.com/clayton-malcolm-jackson/sorrows-of-a-dying-nation-melda
Weird vocal, which gives it an arabian type edge, definately has that soundtrack feel that would suit the right kind of film.
the other is pure genius and captures the cartoon feel

Hi blacksun, thank you for listening and commenting. The first track, yes your were right . On that track I used a Duduk vst,its has a real sad/attention grabbing, oriental type effect. I made that track after seeing some touching images of a recent unrest in Bangkok,as i live and work in Thailand. The other track was influenced by the image I used on soundcloud, actually a character from Beavis and Butthead.. A Funny dude, always in trouble. I tried to reveal his character by using chromaticism and syncopation and general ''musical restlessness'' etc. Anywayz, great. Let's keep sharing the Synfire works when we can. Keep up the sharing.
Thanks.

Wow blacksun, I love it. It's the best track I've heard so far on this forum (no disrespect to anyone elso of course!). I assume that's your vocal on the track? If so you have a great voice. The 'wo oh ho' is a fantastic hook, well done!

Thanks for the comments, very much appreciated.
my dad has a great voice but unfortunately I got mine from my mothers side of the family, so no the vocals aren't mine. They came from a sample pack although I did use the dry versions with some pitch alterations and cut them up to make the whole song up. I was very pleased with the way they came out after the haas effect delays compression and reverb.
i did try a screaming supersaw lead line as well which I loved but couldn't get it to sit right in the mix with the vocal so dropped it. Maybe it will come back in an instrumental version some time.
Thanks again for the kind comments, as someone with damaged hearing I struggle with confidence in my own work so although I welcome comments good and bad, I really apprieciate the good ones ;)
