If I understand correctly, the relative figure has its anchor as a chord tone. And the following symbols follow the vertical scale.
I have an example in which I have drawn the C major scale with relative figures with the preset bypass in the interpretation parameter.
I don't know if this is a bug or not but I can't understand why above zero on the grid the symbol that follows the anchor makes a jump to another chord tone instead of continuing with a step.
Instead below the zero line the relative figures of the segment behave as expected following the vertical scale.
If I have not explained myself well, I will try to be more explicit by uploading the file.

If you actually did chose "Bypass" for the whole segment (and not maybe by mistake for a single symbol), then this shouldn't happen. I just tried myself and I can't reproduce the behavior.

I have taken a screenshot. One with the correct behaviour and the other with the jump.
In both cases the interpretation parameter has been disabled.

Looks like a bug indeed.

Yes, a bug. Fixing it led to another bug that is now also fixed.
Now preparing the first patch.

Doesn't look fixed
whoops sorry forgot to put bypass
Which by the way is very cool to see Synfire still making something musical out of a "figured scale", through "Interpretation".
