Hierarchy is preserved only with copy/move inside the same root container.
Snippets and phrase pools need to be flat for technical reasons. It may be possible to play nested snippets, but there is no way for the user to view or edit their structure. So any nested container needs to be snapshot (flattened) there. IMHO, it would also be overkill. I mean, at some point the deep structuring of everything gets overwhelming (for quite a few users it is already).
In terms of nested snippets, if the drag and drop between snippets and arrange view is working both ways, then snippets could be dragged into arrange view for editing, then dragged back?
BTW - I'm assuming dragging from snippets to arrange view will be in next update also?
Just one more note about this multiple arrangement thing (and then I will be quiet about it, really):
Now that we have the snippets, it would be even more important than before to be able to hold multiple structures. With the snippets there is the feature "Make Arrangement From Last Session" (which is an absolute killer feature, btw.). But if you use it when there already is an arrangement you get (for obvious reasons) the warning "The current arrangement will be replaced. Continue?") It would be very desirable if you could generate several individual arrangements in this way (corresponding to individual sections of a song, for example), which you could then combine accordingly.

Yes, dropping snippets on arrange will be suported.
Copying back and forth containers for editing is not a good solution. Editing should always be in-place.
