Hi all,
After a few months of hard work, I'm happy of publishing the second part of Suite Coloma. As usual, Synfire has been an essential tool for composing and developing the tracks.
Enjoy.

Thanks for sharing! Very well done.
At first I thought an opening with Doña Beatriz or Don Carlos instead of very calm Don Alonso might be more compelling, but that was just a subjective feeling. Now that I listen for a second time, it feels completely different. I sense more details, depth and dynamics. I'm always baffled how much the first listening experience is always so much different from subsequent ones.

Poignant music, is the music based on historical figures?
Spain and the Netherlands have a shared history I am now reading in a book : William of Orange "father of the fatherland ( the Netherlands) "
By the way also with Germany a shared history , because it involves a noble family : von Nassau's

Indeed. It is about the Coloma dynasty who were Counts of Elda from the beginning of the 16th century to the middle of the 18th century. The most famous of its members was Carlos Coloma, the character that appears on the album cover.
This character appears in the painting The Surrender of Breda by Velázquez. The work represents the moment in which Justin of Nassau surrendered the city of Breda, in 1625, to the Spanish troops under the command of General Ambrosio Spínola, who appears receiving the keys to the city from his enemy.

The Netherlands and Spain have an eventful history with each other.
Caused by the Habsburg Charles V and his son Philip.
These have been incredible past times that historians in our present day are trying to make a representation of.
Note: that is a impressive painting from the surrender of Breda

Wow, you can hear the month of hard work, indeed. For instance the ending of Don Carlos is awesome.
