Crash when loading a library

Was having problems earlier in the library with harmonies not playing, so I made sketch with auto-bass and auto-chords, but now I'm getting crashes when just loading a library even in a new arrangement. Here I'm seen trying to load the construct-chopin library that was made available some time ago.

Does this happen with all libraries?

What happens when you reset to "Chords Only" playback mode? (disable the Sketch)

In any case, submitting the crash report will help (Help >> Online Updates).

Yes, it's happening with all libraries.

When it opens it's set by default to chords only so I switched it to a sketch and the same thing happened.

Ok, so I reinstalled synfire (2.3.4b2) and it's loading libraries again, though I am back to not being able to hear harmony parameters previewed from the library, oddly when I click the "Link the preview of phrases" button I can hear the usual string and bass sound to preview harmonies but it only plays one chord and it's always the C major.

Ok, so I ran the updates from the online updates menu, the first one "stretch phrases", everything works ok. But when I installed the "misc bug fixes" update from Oct 12, that's when the library crash starts again.
