Dragging Harmony Snippet to library yields empty item

Posted

Hello, dragging a memory or snippet with harmony into the library yields an empty item, this had been going on for some time and as there is a limited amount of memories this is the best way to get around that. While I'm here it would be really nice to be able to create a sketch from a playing memory the same way you can with a container.

Harmony should be included as you say. You can make a sketch from a snippet with Container / Make Sketch.

Hmm, I tried making a sketch from a snippet (though a memory would be ideal) and I can't get it to work, tried from the snippets page as well as the structure and matrix page and it always seems to default to using the selected container from the structure page. Is it an experimental feature perhaps? as I've not enabled those. As far as I can tell I cannot do this without first copying the memory to a container first and then container>>make sketch

Cant say much about the sketch thing but snippets, memories and containers in a library will be supported with next update

Now I also believe that my eyes have gotten worse. I'm already reading that it will soon be possible to save containers in a library. Impossible that this is written there.

Yes!!

I travel on Friday, for 3 weeks.  I will be much looking forward to this while away!

It will be great, but I should have postponed this feature. It entails more than expected, so we won't see anything before the weekend. The tutorial required putting snippets aside, so here we go.

At least you will get your container import back.

If your practical work with the software leads you to such insights, then I have more tasks for you: Draw a vocal melody for an entire song.

I'm pretty sure you will then come up with a new "Melody Drawing Tool". And no, I will not tell you what this tool should do. You obviously need to find it out for yourself.
