Questions:
1) What does the Read Data refer to ? It is not mentioned in the instructions.
2) Can I use this control panel to save the settings in the EWI USB? I no longer want to use the Aria Configuation settings. I am using the Samplemodeling settings for Trumpet 3. The "save as" does not help because under read it brings up Aria config. menus. Perhaps any changes I make to the Control pannel are instantly set in the instrument. Can sonone let me know?
Thanks
Paul

hi Paul, thanks for joining the user forum!
1) this button reads current settings from the EWI device into the software, so you can edit or save it.
2) yes. the EWI USB Control was designed as a light weight replacement for the utility that comes with the hardware.
yes, all edits are immediately sent to the device. you should not use multiple utility programs at the same time.

Thanks for the quick response. That's a big help for changing setings quickly. If I change a setting in the Cognitone control, will it also change in the Aria configuration menus?

it will change the hardware only. other software will not take notice.

I have a question about this:
When the control panel settings are send to and saved in the EWI USB hardware, will this settings remain in the EWI after powering the device down?
This is necesarry to use the EWI connected to an analoque synth (through a USB host 2 MIDI device), so without a computer connected.

I think so, yes. But ultimately you'll have to test.
You can still use the tool to set the hardware up while you are using it with your synths, though. It's merely a matter of MIDI routing.
