Hello All,
Slowly making my way through the myriad functions of Synfire..
Today I have been learning to use the Harmonizer. All is good except that when I play the figure in Harmonizer, I can't hear the chord. I can see it playing on the keyboard below but I can't hear it except for one time when it randomly played. I have checked to see that instant playback IS ENABLED. Also, in Global Instruments, I have a working (autitionable) device for Piano, Chords, and Bass. It might also be worth noting that the Preview Mix faders do not have any effect, even the Melody fader doesn't change the volume of the figure which of course I can hear.
Am I doing something wrong? MIssing the obvious?

The Harmonizer uses the global instruments, so if you can probe them in Audio & MIDI Setup, they should also work for the Harmonizer.
Try re-assigning the global sounds and do a Playback >> Reset. Then open your arrangement and try again.
Also check if the global sound does not compete with an arraengement sound for the same and only MIDI channel of a synth. If both instruments require a different sound on the same 1-channel synth, they can not be avctive at the same time. All instruments in an arrangment need to be able to be active at the same time.
