Anyone using this with SFP? (http://www.hooktheory.com/site)

 

amazingly simple yet very powerful. very easy to create something good and import into SFP for further tweaking.

No. Its a subscription service $5 a month for the record in and other features.  Even free the amount of theory and the ability to draw in chords and melody is very cool. you can also export the midi for free.

Not bad, but seems dispensable for those who have tools like HN or Synfire. The feature "Browse songs by chord complexity" however is quite nice.

If you click on Top List and choose any song there will be a drop down menu on the right. If you copy into private theory tab a world of chord theory opens up. 1st,2nd, 3rd inversions, 7ths, sus 4,2, Out of Key V, IV, vii and borrow. Also the ability to snag progression and melodies and look at the theory is very cool.
