Hi,
I have made Logic and SynFire work in the past, and I've seen the 'Synfire & Logic Pro X' video.
But today is one of those days where I just can't get SynFire to "see" Logic in Transport section.
I just get the message: "No DAW with a transport found".
Sorry if this description is a bit vague, but if anyone has any experience / tips, etc., I'd appreciate it.
Regards,
Mike

Apple slightly changed the way ReWire is setup in Logic X. Please refer to their online documentation regarding the latest update (Note: Synfire takes the role of a ReWire instrument). I got it working here, although I don't exactly remember the steps. We will update the video tutorial soon.
With Cubase it's probably similar (could not yet test). ReWire basically hasn't changed in the last 10 years or so.

Unfortunetly, there is no solution my friend. Cubase or Synfire update maybe solve this problem. I send a mail to solve this problem to steinberg support. But No one interested to solve this problem. We are only one chance. Only Andre colud be solve this problem.

As said, it runs fine here on macOS 10.13.4 and Logic X.
(just don't remember the steps at the moment ... only recall that I looked into their online docs)
It also worked with Cubase until their latest update broke it again.
I'll check if there is some hack possible at our end that might fix it.

Try the following settings:
- Logic: Settings >> Audio >> Devices >> ReWire : Set to playback mode (low CPU)
- Logic: Add an AUX track with input from "Transport" RW:L/R (not necessary, but may help)
- Synfire >> Playback >> Reset

Have solution working!!!
Logic Pro X: ReWire clients don‘t syncAfter upgrading from a previous version of Logic, ReWire no longer seems to work. ReWire client applications do not sync to Logic Pro X.
Logic Pro X has a new option "Off" in the ReWire Behavior menu in Logic's Preferences panel. This is the default setting in Logic Pro X. To change the setting:
- Choose Logic Pro > Preferences > Audio.
- Click the ReWire Behavior drop-down menu.
- Choose either "Playback Mode (Less CPU Load)" if you are only routing audio from a ReWire client while syncing the transports, or "Live Mode (ReWire and Internal) if you plan to trigger instrument plug-ins in the ReWire client from Logic.
- Quit and then reopen Logic Pro X.
- And you need to reset synfire
