I'm having some trouble setting up the metronome for some basic recording but I can't get it to work properly.
It either starts on the first bar I want to record on (no lead-in) or, when I change the settings in audio/midi setup it behaves really weird - only 1 click instead of 4, and even some clicks are delayed.
It also makes no difference if I set the lead-in to 1m, 2m or 4m.
Are there any other preferences or settings I should consider?
I'm on Mac OS 12.6, synfire pro build #6
thanks,
Stefan

I will have a closer look into the click and metronome tomorrow.
It may work better if you start recording in a container 1m offset from the start (you can set that offset for the time ruler on the parameter inspector "Sync" tab). There may be an issue with playing stuff at negative locations (especially when synchronizing with a DAW).

Hi Andre
Thanks for responding. It's exactly as described by maddsoul in the 'ongoing synfire 2.0 release' thread (#192)

meestahp solved this for me in the 2.0 release thread.

"Played around with this for a few minutes and figured out if you enable "allow negative locators" from sync menu this goes away, are you seeing the same thing?"
