Is there a parameter which helps to permute a given figure or parameter?
Example Melodic Development: I have a figure with 4 pitches, say an arpeggio. Now I want to create a variant which permutes the pitches. The new permutation parameter ranges between 0 and 1. When set to 0, we yield the original phrase. When set to 0.25 one pitch pair is exchanged, keeping the attack position and pitch length unchanged of original notes. When set to 1 all pitches are changed. Certainly this parameter injects some random behavior.
If its not available, does it make sense to add it?
