Maybe I've overlooked something, but.. I've created a part which has several different types of figures, some arpeggios, horizontal chords, vertical, bass, and grouped notes..
It would be nice if I could easily select just the arpeggio notes, Right now everything within the lasso tool's region is selected. Perhaps even zoom in, hold down 'control' and pick notes one by one that you want to manipulate.

I know its a bit long winded but you could use the 'split' function to separate all the different types into their own tracks, manipulate the bts you want then recombine them again.

There are two items in the "Transform" menu that allow for selecting all segments of the currently active type
Also the currently active type has a higher priority for selection, i.e. will be preferred if two types overlap.
I should note that this is high on the agenda for editor improvements. We are looking for a simple way to disable types not currently edited and exclude them from transformations. Split and merge do not really cut it.

Is this also possible in Synfire Express?
There are two items in the "Transform" menu that allow for selecting all segments of the currently active type
Because you are not mention the two items by name..
