In this arrangement example i try to get a idea what chords/keys are used
There is a coloring for the key.
I found this still very confusing/difficult to handle the chord progressions in Synfire: is it possible to see the whole chordprogression colored in the arrangement view and progression editor ?
I am clicking on a chord container in the arrangement view and then on the rootcontainer( what not showing up the used chords for this segment), while a other rootcontainer segment ( with a chord circle) shows the chords.
I don't want to be forced to construct harmonycontainers for the whole arrangement to see what chords are involved in the arrangement.
First of all ..i like to see the whole used colored progression into the progression editor and clicking on a green area (green parameter line) for a harmony parameter shows in the progression editor this chord segment.
When i can see the whole chord progression colored, i can easy see where there a key changes and try this relating with the songsections.
Also chord blocks of 4 , 8,16, 32 (choose) to show in the progression editor and a zoom function for the progression editor too for seeing all chords.
Coloring also for the chord ruler ..on/off option
What is the experience of other Synfire users when they are working with the chord progressions..satisfied with the current functionality?
It feels i don't have overdsight of my arrangement..

If your progression is spread over several containers and you want to get an overview of the entire progression of the arrangement, you can simply do a snapshot of "Harmony" at the rootcontainer. This will store the chord progression of the entire arrangement at the root container. From there you can copy it into the progression editor if you want.

That's great Juergen to have the whole progression now..looks logical to make a snapshot of the rootcontainer and so on..
Thanks for this video!
Perhaps there is a improvement to make to let show up the whole rootprogression on more easy way ?

Use the Scheme tab in the progression editor to achieve this.

For me a very serious shortcoming of Synfire from the Rikko arrangement (in general too) is to see/ascertain what and where instruments are playing in the arrangement .
Is it not possible to fill a container automatically extracted from the arrangement with this information ?

Use the search function in the forums I've explained more than one way to get what you want and answered this question from you at least three times

Sometimes you must repeat things to get things done and it harms no one to remind someone.
Also with this topic i repeated enough as you noticed and it make no sense further more keep on repeating this.
When you answered 3 times my question, can't remember it that it looks on my intented way of working with a arrangement .
Perhaps you can show me again these answers ?
