1) Rewire with Reaper. Your video is old. It will point to the transport plugin under Rewire. It is not in Reaper 6.67 . And place the Synfire 1 transport.DLL manual in VST2 folder or VST3 not seen by Reaper.
2) In Synfire1 Express after pull down in the menu external Sync I can not see any MTC settings in parameters . Reaper is loaded. Tested in Synfire 2 Demo pro mode. ( Your piano synfire file will only load in the Pro mode) . So can you confirm if MTC is working in Synfire 2 Express. And is this new compare to synfire 1?

Ok forgot to set the reaper slave MTC setting to Off. (Have tested MTC slave in Reaper with Synfire 2 Pro demo. )
But now back in Synfire 1 Rewire will not work because I can not see the transport.DLL. Your video is from 2013 .
Is MTC slave included in V2? Edit: Express V2?

no Reaper 6.67 (2022) will not show the rewire Synfire transport plugin in slave mode. Protools 12 HD (2015) will show the Synfire transport plugin but will crash during loading. Ableton 11 with the option.txt -EnableRewire will not work.

30 days Synfire2 demo are over and Synfire 1 is on my PC again . You may extend the v2 demo so I can test MTC and Rewire myself on Express. Will see now if Rewire will show in Reaper as slave when using an other Reaper as master or Pro Tools 2015 DAW as master and let you know.

Protools HD 2015 working now as slave to Synfire V1. The crash was caused by damaged Quicktime files .
Edit: From the Reaper manual : Tick the rewire option ON . Rewire Reaper 6.67 as slave to Synfire working now
