In Samplitude / Sequoia we have a key shortcut (ctl-spacebar) that allows us to quicly play ony selected tracks. This is invaluable. I would like to have the same ability in Synfire using containers and instruments. Who has time to click through various mute buttons on a complex arrangement just to temporarily playback a selected set of instruments or containers?
Thank you, jeremy

You can Ctrl-click (or MAC equivalent) on the solo button to solo selected tracks if that helps. Often that's quicker than muting lots of tracks.

Ctrl-Spacebar is a great suggestion. I'll add this as a shortcur for Solo(s).

When we work in Sequoia in a fast production environment, we do Ctrl-Mouse click to select various tracks or segments and then Ctrl-Spacebar to then play only those items selected. I don't think there is a faster way to do this kind of thing and it is tremendous help when arranging / mixing because its so useful to be able to A/B different scenarios -to include and exclude etc..

You can use the key "," (comma) for Solo playback. It's also on the numeric keypad, which comes handy:
( , = Solo, Enter = Stop)
