Halion 5.dll makes that Synfire chrashes and Halion Sonic and Symphoic orchestra seems to be not recognised too.

Difficult to tell, as Scanner does virtually nothing. It loads the plug-in (links to the VST dll) and looks into its specs (number of channels, etc). Why this would crash Scanner is beyond me. Nevertheless I'll have a look into it.
BTW: Scanner starts a child process (also Scanner.exe) for each plug-in, so a crash will not block it from scanning all other plug-ins. So if you see a crash, the scanning should continue.

I do a new test reinstall for the working version 1.7.18b9 ..let's see if the HAlion 64 bit Vsti is working here
Note: could be that i remove too much code with the REVO uninstaller..i suddenly realize now
I seems to be turns out in a ....?
AVG virus scanner is now removing Engine.exe in the 1.7.18b9 install..but i seems i cannot restore back Synfire to the wanted configuration
It is leading to nowhere at the moment...luckily there is no pressure on this issue.

Never experienced this installation difficulties before... screen : Cognitone audio Engine Setup screen ..shows C:\Program Files (x86)\Steinberg\VstPlugins\
I downloaded a new version .. Synfire plugin scanner chrashes again on Halion5.dll .. Can the audio engine handle Halion5.dll ?
How about other users of Halion5 with the Synfire 1.8 ..no problem?
