iLok Cloud Authorization

This would be so useful, to be able to use synfire on the move (without risk of losing or breaking those damn iloks!)

We did not yet get around to setting this up for a test, but it is definitely high on the list for evaluation soon.

Note that you can already install and run Synfire on as many machines you like. Only the machine you want to run it on needs the iLok plugged in at that time.

Can you run the engine and/or drones on multiple machines at the same time with only the one ilok and license?

would be great if the cloud solution comes to life at one point as its a hassle to use a dongle all the time to run Synfire on the current macbook pro

This is more of a business decision than a technical one. Cloud services generate monthly costs that somehow need to be covered. These quickly add up over the years. We still need to figure out whether and how that could eventually be offered as an option.
