greets,
i've build a palette of triads (no minor 2nd interval), and a few four-notes chords for good measures.
what i'd like to do ideally, is to position them vertically from top to bottom so they go from narrowest to the widest (1-2-3 to 1-5b-5#)
failing that, being able to group or color them etc in some ways...
i'd be good with just being able to add more Marker colors.
6 would be enough for my need, but the more the better! :)

i found a workaround with only the 2 'Marker' colors available.
green is augmented 5th, no color is perfect 5th, and yellow is diminished 5th and below. 
i also included some four-notes chords in there, but not everywhere.
6, 7 and Maj7
the 'rules':
* no minor 2nd intervals
* 'widest' chords use an augmented 5th
the last chord is not part of the progression

thank you for creating this great program! :)
i tried and purchased a lot of similar programs in the past couple of years, but HN/Synfire is the only one that allows me this kind of flexibility.
i spent a month learning the ins and outs of Synfire and i'm ready to make some music with it!
if anyone is interested, i could upload the .catalog and the .cogpal files.
but it's quite easy to re-create.

one option i would like to have is to be able to preview/hear all the chords in the Palette with their root tones.
then i could chose the chords by the 'average pitch' of their sound. :)

i found it !!
from the manual; Settings/Playback:
The Inversions submenu is only enabled in the Palette window and only in Chords-Only mode.
It lists commands for changing the chord inversion.You can achieve thesame thing by pressing the numeric keys 1,2,3,4 and 5.
Holding down the A L T-key while you play will force the root position of the chord.
