Synfire 1.10.8 was released today.
It is mostly an update of the Audio Engine (version 3.5.1), which was re-worked using a new development tool chain. Several bugs and inefficiencies with plug-in scanning have been fixed. If you missed plugins that were not properly scanned, this update might solve the problem. Scanning works much better now.
Soundcase and the Drone happened to crash on occasion, which we hope is also now fixed. Compatibility with a wide range of DAWs has been improved.
If you did not experience issues with plugins, you may skip this update and wait for the next. HN2 was also re-built using the tool chain, but changes are minor. You don't need to update HN2 unless you experienced problems related to audio output.

Since we changed our development tool chain, there might be issues popping up that we could not find during testing. Rest assured we are working (almost) as usual, pandemics or not, so any issues that pop up can be fixed with short response time.

Hello, Andre,
I have just installed this new version and suddenly neither CognitoneDrone plugin nor ReWire option (Synfire Transport) is available in any DAW I use (Cubase, StudioOne, Cakewalk). What happened? It seems like the new version doesn't include these features at all...
Could you, please, have a look at it? Thanks so much!

Oh, I'm sorry for forgetting to mention the platform: I'm on Windows. Thank you so much for this suggestion, I must admit I didn't believe it but it really worked! I just ran "Cognitone Audio Engine.msi" and chose the "Repair" option. Now, CognitoneDrone as well as Synfire Transport are back.
Thank you once again
