Google have been working on using AI, feeding the model with music from Bach. It's pretty good at coming up with music in a similar style.

Even has the ability to export to midi, so you can use this to generate ideas for Synfire.

Second try.

This time I was able to get a B-flat -> FMajor, a sort of cliché in several Bach's works!

Yeah, neat stuff. Last year I did some research using Google's tensorflow technology for deep learning experiments.
