I'm trying to move a container by 1/8, but it seems the smallest shift value is 1/4 ? By design ? If yes, then there is the need to let yourself define the current raster, as it is with figures.
For example, I have a melody of 4 1/8 notes, and I want to mute the 4th note using a "mute container" with paused instruments.
How to achieve this if I can only shift by 1/4 ?

You need to enter offset values smaller than 1/4 manually into the parameter inspector. Switch to the tab "Container" and enter the value into the input field "Offset".

Thanks for the hint, however I did not succeed.
The tooltip in the "offset" text box shows "refer to the manual". But in manual I could not find anything related to this, also the word "Offset" is not included. It states: "for positioning containers with the mouse the current selected raster is applied". Which raster is meant ?
When I enter 1/8 in "Offset", it gets transformed to 240.

The value you have to enter into "Offset" is counted from the beginning of the arrangement. So, if you want to place a container for example 1/8 after the starting point of measure 5 you have to enter 5m + 1/8.

To be exact, "Offset" is the container's position inside its parent container. If that's the root container, offset is indeed the position on the timeline.
Values shown as numbers are in terms of 1/1920 notes (240 = 1/8)
