Circle of fifths functons

Hello, I am not sure if I am misunderstanding the purpose of the circle of fifths views, maybe I am interpreting it's use in reverse, but the chords appear to be showing incorrect functions. G is the dominant of C for example, but in the view it shows F as the dominant?.

Ah ok, I went back and re-read very carefully "They indicate which function the currently playing chord has in that key." Meaning that C is the Dominant in the key of G, as C is the Subdominant in the key of F. Got it, thanks.
