custom install path for HN Demo?

Posted

Hello, according to the manual it should be possible to define our own install path. However, when i tried to install the HN Demo, it did not offer me this option. Is this a Demo limitation, or is it indeed not possible to define our own paths.

This would be very unfortunate, since i'd really like to use HN and maybe even Synfire later on, but my c drive needs to stay free of programs on my audio workstation. thanks.

sorry, just saw that this is the wrong forum :(

The new installer does not support this, because 32 and 64 bit components need to be installed to well-known locations in order to work together (Synfire's Audio Engine). The 32/64 bit architecture on Windows is a huge mess to deal with, unfortunately.
