Hi,
I seem to be observing an inability to export just a designated container (as a MIDI file). The observation is the same whether done via the container right-click menu or the Container -> Export path of the Main Menu.
Instead of just a container's span of material, I'm getting a MIDI file for the entire composition.
As an illustration, I'm expecting 4m of material to be exported here:
rather than the whole composition.

Until you get an answer from a competent source, I'll give you what I think: No, it's not supposed to work as you expect.
A single container does not necessarily contain all the required information to render notes. For this, it would need to contain at least Figure and Harmony, which is typically not the case.
Of course, you could say: It should render the notes that result from the hierarchy structure down to the selected container. But that might be a different musical result than the overall arrangement at that particular point in the timeline (if there are other containers further down in the hierarchy) and that certainly would be confusing.
Or you could say, it should render the complete composition, but just for the section the selected container indicates. But then the result could also be different from that what you expect (why does it render the entire container hierarchy and not just the selected container). All not that simple.

So, as stated, the problem is that the whole composition is being exported, not just the span of the container.
Files attached. The two .mid files, which seem the same, represent exports via right-click in the Structure view, and via the drop-down Container menu.
Exporting was done with Slot D container selected in each case.
