Favorites/Bookmarks in Open File Dialog

Is it possible to create our own favorites/bookmarks in the open file dialog?

On the Mac this is supported by Mac OS X natively. Just drag your bookmarks to the sidebar of the Finder window. These will also show up in the file dialogs.

Synfire remembers for each document type where the last file was saved and opened (separately, to support quick successive open/edit/save cycles on multiple files).

I'm on Windows. It would be nice if Synfire would recognize Windows shortcuts in its open file dialog, or allow for setting shortcuts to specific folders.

Best would probably be to add support for the native Windows file dialogs. We had that in a very early version, but it failed to work with custom file properties forms.

It is worth having another look. Not allowing users to navigate the file system in the way they are already used to is, erm, suboptimal.

But it brings back happy memories of the Atari computer I used in the 1980s!
