Importing midi selection problem.

I have a problem when importing midi files and saving to library.

File- import- standard midi (in drop menu) Fine so far.

Sellect portion of midi file with span tool, go to phrase drop menu at top of screen, scroll down to "new from selection", this is greyed out and does not work. Control +E doesnt work either.

I am using latest version of Synfire Pro on Windows 10 64 bit Professional.

Just tried the same thing on my Imac and still not working. I watched Andre do it in his tutorial video but I can't see what i am doing different.

You need to open the embedded library sidebar (book icon) and select or create a library there to add your selection to.

Thanks for that Andre. After 5 plus years and i'm still learning. I must spend more time using it. Some where along the line I must have forgotten how to do this as it has never been a problem in the past.
