I just tried to import this midi file to make changes and the B container in bass_wrong.cognac just sounds super wrong. I also attached the source midi and the coglib file. whats wrong in this arrangement. I feel the import is messed up in serveral ways but I can't point a finger to it

In your progression you have a b3 for bass (for the Emb chord). Avoid using 3rd intervals for bass, especially at the beginning of a row. Setting that bass to 5 or 1 sounds better. Sometimes 9 works as well, depending on style.
