Polyphony ..multiple lines in parallel drawing

Posted

Hoe does this functionality work in Windows?..when i use the ctrl key ..i get a + sign

For polyphonic vectors, you can add multiple lines in parallel by simultaneously holding the CTrl key ..as described in the manual
For constructing polyphonic vectors ...
Someone a idea how this works ?

BTW: Would be nice, if also 'Transpose' would be polyphonic. Then 'Transpose' could be a tool to control the voicing of chords (open/close chords).

Also 'Chromatic' could be polyphonic. Would give more control over dissonances.

Aah..I am confusing the phrase itself as a vector instead of the parameters of the phrase.. those are the vector(lines).

Velocity is good startingpoint..to experiment with this feature..thanks.

if you want an import to be exactly the same as the original. make sure you use the same instruments as the orginal, make sure you have set the playing ranges correctly, then make sure you import as static.

Can I ask a question? Why is every 5 post from you a question about how to get a synfire project to sound exactly like the orginal? It doesnt matter how many people answer or suggest options to try, you keep asking the same question?

I wonder why you want to do this anyway. You can load the original midi into cubase and look at all the notes, listen to it back and hear it as the original (assuming you have the same instruments). You can load it into a proper composing tool and look at the notes on a stave.

Synfire isnt designed as a midi player, there are many many free examples of those. It isnt designed to show you music scores. It isnt a DAW. There are already many examples of those too, you have a daw in cubase. Sorry to go on about this but you and your repeatitive question is starting to get to me, Ive answered the same question from you some 20+ times over the last year or so.

Lastly what does how synfire interprets your midi files have to do with drawing polyphonic figures?

Yes, to get the same feeling as the example song is not that easy
First choice of sounds and fx, if the song is not documented how it is made, makes it harder.
I am still looking for a way to get still more a interpreted midi sounding like the original and using polyhonic vectors are not to use for this i think.. only the symbol positions chance will influence a song feeling.
How to get work more with polyphonic vectors on a existing songtheme could be here the subject  ?
I have giving enough attention to this midi interpretation by Synfire as you noticed and well it make no sense to be repetative over and over again about this, so no questions anymore about the midi interpretation of Synfire.

Making a song(theme) is always the funpart of Synfire

Another song theme, but how to get in Synfire the original ?

The original is exactly right sounding with all those sound qualities, and the translation with Synfire has not that same quality.. a problem ?

Use Auditory - Piano Emotional Theme Vol.1 as example to learn more, but don't get the right subtle piano as you can hear with HAlion5 yet, caused by a wrong import or the translation of Synfire.
