I have recently purchased SFP and have just tried to record something but with no luck. Initially there was no sound at all, even whilst playing, so I fired up Cubase just to check and all was well there. Closed down Cubase and now I could hear the instrument in Synfire. Hoorah I thought, but didn't understand why it didn't work before.
So start to record, the track goes a sort of red colour and I can hear what I'm playing. Press 'stop' but nothing is there at all, no take, no figure, no nothing!
I had no problem with this process when using the demo and was able to record successfully. Maybe I'm missing a setting somewhere, but this shouldn't be too difficult surely? Synfire is complicated enough without having to struggle with the most basic of operations. It's very frustrating.
I'm using a MIDI keyboard with a Saffire Pro midi/audio interface.
