Hi,
I want to make two shortcuts for synfire, one so it startsup the x86 Audio engine, and the other starting up with the x64 Audio Engine.
This because on W7 its tricky to shut down the 64 bit engine to change to the 32 bit one, and vice versa.
How to? thanks,
Jim

Andre,
Thank you for the reply.
I have two global racks (one 32, one 64 bit). However, switching between them while Synfire is running is difficult, because if i.e. the 32 bit rack (and engine) is already running, switching to (loading) the 64 bit rack opens the 64 bit engine on ASIO4ALL driver, not my real ASIO driver (as W7 cannot have both 32 and 64 bit engines running at the same time with ASIO).
As Synfire has the habit of opening and preloading the last loaded rack (correct me if I'm wrong), you have to switch off and restart synfire twice in order to get the preferred engine (32/64bit in real ASIO). Also, quitting/shutting down the Engine first (while synfire is still running) before loading the other rack, is not convenient, as synfire starts to report that it can no longer connect to the engine (of course).
Hence my question, if it were possible (i.e. by a batch command/shortcut), to order synfire which global rack to load on a clean startup (irrespective of what rack was previously opened).
REgards,
Jim

Not yet, but sounds like a great feature suggestion.
