What is the main difference between new song and new accompaniment

Hello There!
Which window can help me with the song arrangement? the new song window or the new accompaniment?
What is the difference between them? which one is more effective for songwriting?

As its name implies, the song window is for songwriting. Accompaniment patterns are for rendering chords "live", that is, for previewing and testing progressions mainly.
