HI,
Picked up on this in another thread, Andre mentioned it but didn't say how to stop this from happening. .
I have go a bass sound coming from a synth in Ableton that keeps on resetting to the default sound that is the first sound when you open the synth, The only input is coming from Synfire.
Is there a way to turn this off globally? I.e. for every track / instrument. . .
It really is a pain as I don't seem to be able to stop it from happening now that its started.
Was fine for a couple of hours. .
thanks

Sure. Uncheck/disable the program change number for the sound in your device description. In case you are using generic sounds (just channels, no sound names), be sure to uncheck this for all of them. Most plugins don't respond to program changes anyway.
There might however also be another sound intefering here by using the same port/channel. I would guess it's one of the global default sounds, which are GM by default.
Hint: In Audio & MIDI Setup, open Drivers >> Sound Allocation Monitor to debug your midi routing.
