Hey all.
When I use the 32 bit Engine I have 32 bit AU & VSTs side by side.
(most AUs wont get loaded in 32bit, but doesnt matter)
When I use 64bit however, the VST folders are completely empty.
Does SF lock to Audio Units in 64 bit mode under OSX?
I have enabled Scan VST with the correct paths to my VST folders
but the 64bit engine doesnt even start to scan them.
Or might this have to do with the PlugIn Number Limit?
Best,
tL.

VST on OS X relies on Carbon for displaying the plug-in editor. Carbon however was abandoned by Apple and is not available for 64 bit. The consequence is: No 64 bit VST support on the Mac.
We will eventually make the switch to require Cocoa GUIs for VST on the Mac. This will however rule out older VST that still rely on Carbon. Only more recent VST plug-ins implement Cocoa GUIs.
Bit of a dilemma.
