I have seen good forums abandoned because of stupid people (probably kids) posting offensive material, childish and offensive name calling and the like.
If anyone wants to see that stuff, it's not difficult to find tons of it on the internet.
I come here to read about Synfire, not to be bombarded with garbage.
It may be time for a "registered users only forum"
anyone can register (and be banned if necessary)
anyone can read the forums, but only "registered users" can post.

The offending user was deleted. This is a registered users forum already but spam protection sometimes fails. Sorry for the inconvenience.

That's good to know.
The rant was really against the offenders who do that kind of stuff. The reality is that you and Andre, and we who frequent this forum, are all victims. We just want Synfire to succeed and continue to improve.

I use a Tyros 5 and go to PSR Tutorial website , perhaps the best Tyros site available.. Most of the users are in their 60's.. We have several new people, and all they do is post and complain about what the Tyros can't do.. These goes around and around.. However this 'facebook' attitude has snuck in.. If I don't agree with you, I'm just going to belittle, insult, and be rude to you.. I'm not going to cite facts, just opinions (only owned instrument a short while, extremely comples).. A lot of regular posters, have stopped because they don't want to be attacted..
Several people complained.. Moderators, don't seem willing to do much.. they should be banned.. Logic used to be extremely quick to ban people.. I've just come to the realization, I'm not going to visit site, or particularly post.. cause I've gotten into several 'skirmishes' . Same with Facebook. I closed it down, after too much bullshit.. I'm finding at my age, I'm not goint to waste my energy battling with someone, who is a jerk, misinformed and blindly opinionated..
Luckily, There really isn't anyone here who fits that catagory.. First of all we've spend a good amount of money, and that commands respect (both for Cognitone.. and it also places us in catagory, to behave intelligently..
Here the moderators are very quick to nip things in the bud.. This site is an extremely valuable resource. We can not afford to have it go to seed..
