Adding DAW drone templates to Synfire

Posted

I started with a new DAW template, but Synfire is asking : please start the original DAW3 generic and open the file associated with the shared rack here. Then press.

-shared racks are now become global racks..

- Add a new button: Start with New DAW template ..and this make a new connection between Synfire and DAW and forget the existing DAW template ( i already opened the DAW and added a drone for a new drone DAW template )

I cannot go further anymore with Synfire without first loading the DAW template, while i made a new second DAW drone template already..a solution for this.

The drone saved with a track template in a DAW needs to know it is global. It will not appear in Synfire's global rack as a transient drone, if it has the status 'Reserved' (unused).

When you add a new drone to the DAW, it initially has 'Reserved' status until you pull it into a global rack, or an arrangement rack. To make it a global drone, pull it into a global rack (by adding it from the [+] list). You can discard the global rack later, if you don't want to use it as such.

Yes, i understand this workflow, but for the second DAW template i must be on the same tab, because the first and second DAW templates racks are mixed together ( where they separated then i could bypass template DAW1)
Ok, i must first open the DAW template where Synfire is asking for, then i can add a second DAW template drones in Synfire.
There is no simplification here to get for start up, or you must separate the DAW templates drones on a own tab
