I was working on a piano section earlier, but something didn't sound quite right and it seemed to be to do with the Sustain parameter. So I double-clicked it and although it was dark green, it didn't show up anywhere. However, I could see some drawn parameters for it, and it said it was assigned to the root container, although it wasn't.
It was then I realised that it had been generated automatically by Synfire because in the Interpretation, the 'Generate Pedal' box was ticked. So I assume when this box is ticked, Synfire generates Sustain based on a best-guess from the figures?
It was a good starting point but I wanted the ability to snapshot what Synfire had generated, edit it myself and untick the Interpretation setting.
Is that possible please, or am I misunderstanding something?

Unfortunately it doesn't, as the Sustain parameter is dark green everywhere. If you draw a random figure and then tick the Generate Pedal box in the Interpretation Preset tab, you will see the Sustain parameter become dark green. If you then double-click the Sustain, you can see the values that Synfire has drawn in. These values will change automatically if you change the figure.
There's no way to snapshot it and therefore you can't make any amendments to what Synfie has generated.
However now I've just discovered that if you right-click the Sustain parametr and do 'Extract from Figure', it works! The Generate Pedal then becomes redundant, which is exactly what I wanted!
Thanks for your help :)

Juergen, yes I agree with you. For some reason yesterday I didn't see the snapshot option. Not sure why, or if I was doing something in a different way. Anyway, no matter as it works fine using either method!
Jan, I think that's a personal preference. I'm not very good with controllers and I find the Generate Pedal option usually works very well for me. Now that I've discovered how to edit it, it's even better!
