I can't find any way in account settings to change the date format from the American mm/dd/yyyy. Is there a way to change it to dd/mm/yyyy please?

In account settings, you can set your timezone. dont know if this also changes the time format, though

Probably a general setting on the administration backend of the Drupal site.
Last week i had the same problem with my Wordpress teaching website when i installed a American plugin.. i chanced the time format on the administration side of my website to the European time format.

Ah yes, today is fine, I hadn't noticed that! At least it will be right for 12 days out of next year (but wrong for the other 354 
). It's annoying though that when I see something like 06/01, I have to scroll up and down a few posts to work out if it's the 6th of January or the first of June
At least it's fine for our North American friends (and parts of Canada I believe).
