I would like to take advantage of the amazing performances of insturments like the Bohemian Violin and Emotional Cello.
If I record a phrase from from my keyboard into Synfire (or capture a portion of an existing midifile) are the midi performance controller values (for key pressure, etc.) retained when I then select the phrase and convert it into a figure?

Synfire handles a few standard midi CC (volume, breath, expression, see: parameter block in arrange window), plus 8 custom defined CC per sound, device or instrument. That is, you can define different CC either for a device, a sound or the instrument that uses it. These custom CC will appear in the parameter block and Synfire will know how to deal with them (record, playback).
However, fine tuning of CC is rather a task late in the composing process. That's because the CC vectors are not attached to a figure, so if you move the figure, they will not move with it. Anyway, once you have captured the CC, it's with the arrangement or library and you can always copy/paste it anywhere you want to use it.

I don't see in Synfire a oversight of articulations used and expression used and velocity used in the same screen
It seems to be seperated from eachother in Synfire .. i could not tell what articulations are used in one screen together with the expression and velocity
When i look in Cubase ..i do see the notes and the attached articulation with the experesssion and velocity for the notes in the midi editor.
