Would be great if there was a shortcut for "Dominant of the selected chord", aka "secondary dominant".
Technically this simply means transpose the chord 7 semitones down and change its type to "7"
Could be triggered by CTRL+SHIFT + D
One could imagine some other transformations: make the chord a minor chord (insert a "m") and if it's already minor then remove the "m" ...eg. by CTRL+SHIFT+M
Or CTRL+SHIFT [1-7] to change the selected chord to the triad on the n-th step (I, II, III,IV....) of the current key, e.g. by CTRL+SHIFT+2 = Dm if in C major key.

You can add these secondary chords to a palette by using functional expressions, e.g. DD, DDD, DD7 etc. Then tag them with a color to easily spot them at a glance.
Check out Layout >> Settings >> Functions and the functional syntax in the appendix of the user manual.

Ok, apart from the fact that I was asking for shortcuts (and not only for dominants): how can I add the secondary dominants for T, tP, tG,... ?
Every scale chord can have a secondary dominant, it is more than just the double dominant DD or SS.
Secondary dominants are a very important concept not only in jazz harmonics.
In which text field is it possible to enter the functional syntax instead of a chord name at all ?

Add any function by clicking the [+] button under the list Added Functions (displays function on existing chords), or Added Chords (adds external chords to palette):
The issue with keyboard shortcuts is there are already not enough keys left to cover even the basic commands of Synfire. Let alone additional shortcuts for chords, functions, etc. We are working on a user-defined shortcuts editor. Maybe there will be room for more options, if the user is in control which commands to support and which to leave out.
