I created an Engine which loads Kontakt 5 with 12 instruments. Synfire takes ages to load.
Then I reduced the instruments to 6 and create another independent Engine with Kontakt with 6 instruments.
Is this the approach or is there a better solution?

Do you mind giving an explanation of how you setup VEP with your DAW ? A Youtube tutorial would be good too if you have the time. Any tips that you may give on this forum will be highly appreciated too.
