Multiple time signature Logic Pro x synchronous problem

Posted

Hi my friends. I have a multiple time signature problem. For example 5/8 time signature 1-50 measure. Afterthat 4/4 Time signature 50-60 measure.  If I use logic or synfire pro as a stand alone There is nosynchronous problem. Both of them worked perfectly.

But If I want to use synfire pro rewire transport on logic pro x There is a warning such as like that

"Use the Tempo Track for further tempo editing."

Do you know anybody how to solve this problem? Thanks a lot.

Hi Andre, The same problem whether or not by using drone. Also Synfire Pro said that " All instruments of an arrangement should be hosted on the same Audio Engine or DAW to ensure proper timing. " I don't understand what it means. Could you explain ? Thanks for great support.

All instruments of an arrangement should be hosted on the same Audio Engine or DAW to ensure proper timing.

This message indicates some instruments are hosted on an Audio Engine, while others are using the internal synth, or a DAW (Drone), or external MIDI hardware. It is impossible to synchronize these tightly, so all instruments should be hosted on the same Engine, DAW, MIDI or whatever.

Regarding the time signatures: Different time signatures should not make any problems, provided the tempo is constant. There is a challenge with synchronizing tempo changes across a DAW and Synfire (or vice versa). These will never exactly run in parallel and drift apart. If you want to emply tempo changes, do so in the last production stages in your DAW only.
