Synfire pro 1.9 as a drone multi output problem

Posted

First of all thanks for great support Andre. Synfire new update is so cool. Maybe Logic 10.5 problem or not but New version logic pro (10.5) is a problem for drone multi output.

''Failed to load Audio Unit “Drone”, please contact the manufacturer for an updated version or further assistance.''

Thanks. I am so curious Synfire 2.

Just tested with Logic X 10.5 and the Drone loaded fine.

Maybe reinstalling the Audio Engine and doing a re-scan in Logic helps?

(To re-install only the Audio Engine, simply unselect all other options in the installer)

Hi Andre, I don't know why it is problem. Firstly Re install only audio engine is nothing changed. Afterthat I uninstall synfire pro and re install completely. But Unfortunetly Nothing is changed. And also re-scan Logic. My system is Mojave 10.14.6 . Thanks for great support.

Do a Command-I on the AudioUnit (/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components) and check access permissions. It might be that the installer was unable to replace an older version.

Hi Andre. I checked components folder and also cognitonedrone.component. Both of them are accessable permisson. (read/write) .

Thanks for great support.

I now get this same error message, for whatever reason. Will have a closer look.

EDIT: There are no references to multi-channel outputs in the source code. The Drone has always been Stereo/Stereo, although it can host guest plug-ins with up to 8 inputs and 70 outputs (just so to be able to load them). I don't know why Locic X would display multi-output as a choice.

So the solution is to use Stereo output and route/mix any additional channels inside your plug-in to those outputs.

Thanks Andre. I am sorry but I don't understand how to use Stereo output and route/mix additinoal channels. Would you explain and more information about solution. Thanks for great support.

If the guest plug-in loaded into the Drone has more than 2 outputs, you'll need to configure the plug-in such that the outputs you want to hear are sent to either channel of its stereo output. NI Kontakt, for example, has an internal mixer to do that.

That additional MIDI output selection refers to an external MIDI port the Drone is supposed to create. It has nothing to do with audio.

Hi Andre. You explained but I am sorry, I didn't success anymore. If ıt is a problem and maybe You can fix updated. But It is a new way to use drone plug in Would you take a video tutorial about new Drone usage ?  Thanks for great support.

Actually its simple: The Drone is Stereo only (always has been). Logic X 10.5 showing more channles is a bug with Logic. Apple might fix that eventually.

So if you load the Stereo Drone, you are fine.

Yes Andre, I found extend rack module so useful. But I don't know why Problem is. Extend rack module is so fracture. If daw and synfire pro are close and re open There is bug I think. I care firstly Logic Pro x open afterthat I open Synfire pro. Every time I checked logic pro x drone to store in synfire pro. Also             I checked Audio settings in Synfire Pro. Every inputs as seem to check in synfire pro. But I couldn't open. If new version (2.0) is different as a extend rack module Please don't deal to repair. We can wait. But If ıt is the same please control extend rack module. Thanks a lot for great support.
