Some Kontakt instruments have different articulations on separate instruments. So, for example, housing 10 seperate instrument articulations within one kontakt device, with each of the 10 instruments having a separate midi channel. If it was possible to set a midi channel for each symbol we could change around multiple articulations in the same phrase.
Or is there an easier, already implemented way to do this?

Custom articulations are used to switch between different playing styles or timbres of the same instrument. These are controlled by Key Switch, MIDI Controller or Program Change.
Using different channels for this purpose is not supported.
Key Switches are pretty much standard. If you're lucky there's an alternative mode or preset you can load for your instrument that supports one of the above.
