How do I get the indication for which articulations was used with the figures, as mentioned in the tutorial?

Select a figure segment. If it is shown in red on the inspector the sound does not support it.

The question was how to do this assign an articulation, but by my questioning I made it difficult for myself, sorry. 

Thanks, I was on the instruments tab , but it's the figures tab I see to add the articulations to segments.
