Are there any plans to implement MIDI 2.0 in Synfire? It looks like the first compatible products are starting to come out. Cubase 13 is supposed to be "MIDI 2.0 ready". There are indeed some relevant improvements: More channels, higher data resolution for controllers, polyphonic aftertouch, articulation support, etc.

If it's backwards compatible, yes. I haven't looked into the details yet (articulations) but it's definitely on the long term road map. More channels are very welcome.
Adoption in the market will take some time though. I don't expect this to pick up speed anytime soon.
